It helps to arrive with breakfast and a bottle of something, but it isn't necessary — Stellenbosch's supermarkets are roughly 3 km away and every lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and a built-in braai on the patio. Many guests self-cater for breakfast and eat out in the evening at one of the three restaurants on the estate.
